If you love all-things-Lola, check out these other websites, authors, books, podcasts, creative outlets, and more. If you know of something I'll love and I don't have it listed below, please let me know what I'm missing out on my sending me a message below!
My taste in podcasts depends on my current mood, so these are always changing, but here are some goodies to share!
"StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world."
Give me ghost stories ALL YEAR LONG. Glynn Washington is the PERFECT host and has me hooked on every drop of haunted, delicious storytelling.
I love the art of storytelling, and folks who attend Moth Workshops are experts. I have experienced one of every emotion while listening to these real stories.
I love reading, but have found with each passing year, it gets harder to carve out time. When I do make time, the book has to grab my attention or it gets chucked into an ADHD Doom Pile. The books below have found permanent residence on our living room bookshelf because I couldn't put them down, and I recommend them to anyone who needs a keeper.
I'll Show Myself Out: Essays on Midlife and Motherhood by Jessi Klein
"In New York Times bestselling author and Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Jessi Klein’s second collection, she hilariously explodes the cultural myths and impossible expectations around motherhood and explores the humiliations, poignancies, and possibilities of midlife."
High Achiever: The Incredible True Story of One Addict's Double Life by Tiffany Jenkins
"An up-close portrait of the mind of an addict and a life unraveled by narcotics—a memoir of captivating urgency and surprising humor that puts a human face on the opioid crisis."
Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed
"Tiny Beautiful Things collects the best of "Dear Sugar" in one volume, bringing her wisdom to many more readers. Rich with humor, insight, compassion—and absolute honesty—this book is a balm for everything life throws our way."
